The Tiring But Exciting ITI Idols

I think the most important event for us so far has been the “ITI Idols”.
We were informed that we needed to participate in ITI Idols three weeks ago,
but we were so busy that we just prepared our number for it for one week.
It was my first time to be the choreographer of two groups,
and it meant I needed to spend twice the amount of time on it.

I really felt exhausted every day in the past week.
Actually, I have been learning how to dance for one year.
It is not a long time, so it was also my big challenge!

Most of our group members never danced before,
so I tried to find some simple movements for them.
We spent a lot of time practicing, and we were very excited about it.
In our number, we danced and acted a drama.
The drama was about two girls all were fighting over one boy,
and we had some secret weapons,
Erin and Peggy Hou, who did the splits at the end of our number.
What an amazing ending.

When everything was looking great, Sam hurt his foot.
He could not play anymore, so he became an introducer and Cynthia became a dancer.
We were Brent’s back up, too.
It was really tiring for us to prepare two programs within one week,
so we used very easy movements in Brent’s program.

Finally I think we did a good job on both Brent’s number and ours,
and everyone loved us. We felt very accomplished although we did not win.
The most important thing for us was what great team work we had rather than the result.
It will be one of our precious memories of life at ITI.
